Reasons Your Not Losing Weight

Top Reasons Why You Aren’t Losing Weight

*While this can be due to a variety of reasons, we will exclude age, genetics & other excuses beyond your control*

screaming at scaleSo, you aren’t getting the results you ultimately desire, right? You probably have tried everything under the sun and it just wont happen. Hours in the gym, fad diets, starvation, but these have all led you to complete failure.

Well, in this article, we are going to discuss some of the top reasons you’re not losing weight.

1. Poor Diet

Many people will adopt a new “healthy” diet consisting of a bunch of chicken breast and funky salads when in turn its not really the foods you are eating but more of the amount. You could be eating the right foods but too much of the right foods will prevent you from being in a calorie deficit.

There are many times when people just try to stop eating but cant. This could be considered an eating disorder and should not be taken lightly. Making sure you are eating the right foods (high-protein meals) in moderation, ensuring you’re in a calorie deficit, could be the determining factors whether you get results or not.

When I am on a diet, there is always one thing I always try to remember; “You can never outwork a crappy diet!”

2. Workouts Aren’t Sufficient

Since our ultimate goal in fat loss is to burn more calories then we are taking in. We want to perform the exercises that will elicit the greatest calorie burn. Bicep days and chest days are highly unlikely to provide a great calorie burn.

Performing routines like full-body workouts or HIIT (High Intensity interval Training) can give you an amazing calorie burn. Exercises such as MMA, CrossFit & Circuit Training can elicit an great calorie burn. The more you exercise, the more you burn.

3. Inconsistency

Many people want results and they want it fast. Because of this, they believe that results will in fact come at super-speed. Sadly, it doesn’t work like this. Since our body wants to maintain its comfortability at all times, it will adapt at the rate it feels most comfortable.

Be patient, results will come. As long as your consistent, keep your motivation high and keep your diet clean, your results will come.
